Physical looks, to both men and women is highly important especially if they are still in the market looking for a partner. Many of us want to look young and some even denies their real age. Being old or even looking old makes it hard for someone to find someone, a harsh truth that many single people are struggling with as attraction usually begins with physical appearance. We cannot stop our body to age, that’s a fact but we can delay aging with some useful habits to make us look young despite our age.
Exfoliate
A sign of aging starts with the skin. Skin is the largest organ and covers the whole body. As we age, the skin gradually sags. You can see fine lines, crow’s feet and some brown marks appearing on your face and body. It is mostly women who are concerned on this phenomenon and lucky enough, there are lots of skin care products in the market that can neutralize these skin problems.Find a product that exfoliates to peel them off and show the new skin underneath.
Water therapy
The skin is composed of cells that require water to perform efficiently. According to The Institute of Medicine, the ideal daily water intake for men is 3 liters while it is 2.2 liters for women.Water is clearing your body from toxins, eliminates dirt and clogs pores as it flushes them out through urine, perspiration and defacation resulting to a supple and clear skin. Also, water makes your cells compact and tight, lessening those fine lines and marks on your face making it look smooth.
Antioxidants
The food that you eat has an overall impact on your health and skin. Healthy eating also makes you look young. From all the foods, those rich in antioxidants make a big contribution in maintaining a youthful appearance. So, always include them in your diet and here are somefoods that contain antioxidants:
- Tomatoes. Organic tomatoes are high in Lycopene, a potent antioxidant that defies skin aging.
- Watermelon. Like tomatoes, this thirst-quenching fruit contains lycopene.
- Peppers. The capsaicin in pepper eliminates toxins from the body. Aside from antioxidants, pepper is also a good source of vitamin C.
- Dark chocolate. The flavanols in dark chocolate acts as an antioxidants and also releases dopamine, a “happy” hormone that makes you happy.
- Apple. The apple peel has quercetin, an antioxidant.
Sunscreen
Dermatologist’s advice patients to apply sunscreen with SPF15 or SPF30 to prevent skin cancer and delay aging. In a study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine made by Australian researchers, the report showed that there’s 24% less skin aging to people who are regularly using sunscreen compared to those who don’t. The ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun greatly affectour skin that results in wrinkles, pigmentation and rough texture. About 80-90% of our appearance is also the result of the quantity of our sun exposure. To protect yourself from sun’s rays, always use a sunscreen that suits to your skin type with a high SPF.
